Talk to me about the Supernova e3 mini 2 pro. Its billed as an E bike lamp but any reason why it wouldn't work with a dynamo hub? An SP for instance?

most likely the wrong voltage, probably 24 or 36 volts as opposed to 6
and DC as opposed to AC
Update compatible with all 12V motor light-ports
E-bike usually lights don't have smoothing, rectification or standlights, and are designed for a higher voltage.
Usually they'll "work" but they'll be extremely flickery and dim.
