I wondered are they worth it?
Chances are you'd find Solovair more akin to the DM you wore a few decades ago.
I'm under good authority (someone in the Biz) that quality took a step down as DM moved production, both in material quality and lasts used (fit). IIRC Solovair bough out some of the old DM tooling.
In any case, I've found the airwair soles to be rather hard wearing.
Found a pair of cap toe DM on a bench I occasionally wear to construction sites or landscaping, leather gave out sooner than the soles, hardly showing wear. YMMW, obviously.

Definitely considered (hankered after some of their monkey boots a while back actually). But for nearly 2x the spend, I wondered are they worth it?
Wish I'd been quicker with the Mr Porter sale, as they had some there.
