Ha, ha. Happened to me before. Now, on 'big' beers I use a tube into pot of water to stop the krausen blowing the airlock off.
Big airlock though on that.
Ah it just looks big from that angle (oi oiiii), it’s the smallest volume spiedel fermenter with their standard airlock.
I racked what was left in it into two 5 litre demijohns, and splashed a bit of whiskey into the one with tape on the handle.
