"Just come back in and saw Stan on his daily constitutional. He's lived here since 1974 and has never seen it flood. He said when it gets this high the most it does is 'trickle down Coppermill Lane'. We still have a few feet on our side of the road. So feel a little heartened....
Having said that, the massive development around Blackhorse Road will have a double whammy of building on marshland that would normally take considerable rainfall - and contributing to greater run off. In the building bonanza I think there was little consideration given to effects if run off on the local area. So maybe worth considering how we future proof. And if that fails Roy has a generator.......😛"
