This is the River Lea flood relief channel beginning to overtop at 1.30pm today- the only thing that protects much of Lea Bridge from flooding. I’ve never seen it this high! Got home after my lunchtime walk and peered under my floorboards but thankfully no ingress. However will be removing valuables from under beds and putting them on high shelves today!
