Yep. Two weeks ago cases were about 40k, 3 weeks ago they were 25k. So pessimistically we'll hit nearly 3k/day, optimistically 1.5k.
And as you say, cases haven't turned around yet, but maybe the new lockdown will do the trick and we're at the peak, test positivity seems to be going down again?

I wonder whether test positivity is going down because people aren’t testing for social reasons as they were in the holiday run up.?
Anecdotally - the queue outside the Mile End Art Pavillion testing centre has gone down massively this week. People aren’t seeking to visit families etc (I know they shouldn’t have been but we all know that’s why there was a rush on testing pre Christmas).

I am very nervous about what death numbers will look like in two weeks. Or more to the point, up until two weeks after we reach a peak and start turning this cunt around again.
