I think it looks better if the wider end of the Max top tube as at the HT end and the narrower section at the ST end.

Depends on your perspective I guess. En profil I think Hulsroy's design looks better.

Chacun a son truc! How are you going to cap the sides of the Max top tube where it extends beyond the width of the seat tube?
