I presume you've added carbon paste to the mix?

Can you stick a stick (or something suitable) underneath the post so the seatpost hits it at the right height and stops.

Yes pasted up

The stick could work. Otherwise I'm covering the seatpost in epoxy and setting it to the right height and being done with it
