Can anyone tell me what the point of these mudguards is if you can't even fit a 23mm tyre inside it?
There isnt any, expensive mudguards are a fallacy by the FBNPNA crew. SKS work just as well, are easier to fit and 3 times cheaper.
Now that you have them; Phil is right, it is kinda to do with the frame/fork/brake. Just like astrology stars they have to align for guards to work.
It could be the shape of the fork, maybe the rear brake is not long reach(?).
Good thing about VO is that hipsters will buy it off you so you can buy SKS :)

Huh, been my experience that properly mounted alloy fenders last years without issue whereas SKS break after a season or two.
