Thanks - that's helpful information. I only broke my left shifter, but given that triples have been so comprehensively removed from shimano's range so I can't really upgrade to something newer without replacing large parts of the drivetrain, and possibly also hubs / wheels given the spacing on my frame :/
I'll keep looking!
