You don't see much of a difference?! I think the maxi case lugs were a big part of the footballers watch aesthetic that was going around when they introduced it. Slimmer lugs are much more in keeping with the older subs.

It's a quintessentially Rolex update.
Looking forward to seeing one IRL, I think the slightly slimmer lugs paired with the wider bracelet might work really well. The bracelet is by far the bigger change. And really, if you look at it, the outer shape of the case follows nearly the same line, it's the wider end link that makes the lugs thinner.
