As the owner of a Bora hob and having owned expensive Cooker hoods and cheap cooker hoods previously I’d argue that the effectiveness of the extractor is far better than anything I’ve used before.
But, if you need the under the counter space I can’t argue with that. They do take up a lot of room, also they are significantly more expensive. You’ve obviously thought about it a fair bit, and it’s your kitchen so go with whatever works for you.
