    Yeah I don’t know why they’ve fitted it like that, or why they’ve used such a shit padlock. That picture was off a security site so you’d think they’d know better.

    On my old garage door, there was about 3cm of frame in front of the bolt hole and I used padlocks with shrouded clasps so you couldn’t get croppers on them. Overkill, maybe, but mine was the only garage in the block that didn’t get done over.

    In principle I quite like those ones you linked to. It’s going to be a question of a) whether it’ll fit and b) how good the lock barrels are. They look a bit easy to pick (they look easy to rake). I normally try to have two different types of lock to protect against pick attacks as well as two shapes of padlock for crop or cut attacks.
