I quite like the contrasting finishes it was one of the appeals. He's working on making the finish seamless by polishing the lugs and joints. I think a few customers behind me in the queue asked for that finish so it'll be interesting to see how it comes out.

Getting a really solid result on a 3D printed piece of ti is quite difficult as there's quite a lot of small dimples in there. I've seen some examples of polished 3D printed ti before and I wasn't blown away to be honest. I think you made the right choice by staying with this finish as the end result is homogeneous.

Yeah i think Tom's plan is to make the junctions thicker than they need to be so they can then be polished down to get the right finish. I'll be interested to see how it comes off on his future builds.
