Yeah it's kind of nice when you get into it. But I don't really get to do variations, just build up or clean up the files we get from the architects - since it's mainly for competition entries, there's not a lot of time so pretty much the only variations we do are different perspectives/lighting situations. (I'm in Switzerland, so maybe the system is a bit different from the UK?)

I sometimes do architecture stuff for a friends company when they get a lot of work (mostly for competition entries) and the occasional shadow simulation for permits. Using 3dmax as well, but I mostly get to build/clean up the 3d models, not too interesting but can't really complain with how flexible I am (I'm still at uni, so don't really do it regularly).
