I sometimes do architecture stuff for a friends company when they get a lot of work (mostly for competition entries) and the occasional shadow simulation for permits. Using 3dmax as well, but I mostly get to build/clean up the 3d models, not too interesting but can't really complain with how flexible I am (I'm still at uni, so don't really do it regularly).
Hardly ever model stuff myself, with the exception being recently on more conceptual stuff. I do miss the simpler times of getting lost in the process of banging out 24 variants of the same house. Almost enjoyable once you get on a roll.
