I've been using this one everywhere, and it's excellent... always detects keyboard, mouse, HDMI, has pass-through USB-C charging... not too ugly.

Not the cheapest, but works, is reliable, full video resolution, full USB-C speeds... just works.

I use one that plugs directly into the ports; I found the dangly ones to be a bit unpredictable unless my laptop was on the desk rather than a stand and in the end I got a short that blew the power adapter on the motherboard. Apple replaced it but it was a pain in the arse.

It doesn't it has its own funny little charging port.
In 3 minds between Anker at £22, this one with good reviews and a couple more ports at £25 and Lenovo at £56 (to avoid Amazon). Sure any of them will be ok so long as shipping within UK.
