I use the Lenovo travel hub with work laptop. Works great but is £75ish which seems crazy.

Can anyone recommend a decent hub/connector for a surfacepro USB-C port?
I only really need to connect it to HDMI for a second screen atm but figure a hub with a couple of extras might be useful at some point. The port on the tablet is raised off the desk so hub would ideally have a few inches of cable to allow it to sit on the desk.
I'm using this star tech one, works fine. Just HDMI

I was actually looking at these yesterday as I've just got a new monitor with USB-C and I want to swap between my desktop setup and work laptop both via the USB-C port. I think what I need is just a short USB-C male to female cable but this is the one I was looking at:
