I need to put my phone in to a shop to repair the screen (don't have time to do it myself) and I'd rather it was formatted before hand. I appreciate most of my contacts and pictures etc. are synced to my Google drive, but it's there a way of just taking a disc image of the phone so I can get it back to where it was before formatting easily without having to download all apps again?
I had a brief look at TWRP before but couldn't get it to work easily. If there's an up to date, foolproof guide to that process please share.
I looked into the adb backup but all the pages I could find had a caveat like "this isn't a full backup, some things will be missed" but nothing listed definitively what would and wouldn't be captured. Any ideas on this?
