Mobile phones are way beyond me, haven't a clue what to look for. Just want something with a decent camera and headphone jack!

You have to pay a premium (in my experience) to get a good camera. The one in my Xiaomi A2 lite is shiiite - Slow and awful in low light. The only thing I don't like about the phone.
