I guess I'm just of the opinion that an email wont stop such behaviour.
Just feels like now is an important time to challenge such beliefs if they have negative consequences, in a constructive evidence based way of course.
I'd agree to be honest. But the behaviour so far hasn't come from people who will get the email, it's more about telling people not to put up with it, how to report it, who to contact if they have any concerns etc.
