Not sure how long ago you’d heard that but I think it could have been the case before they joined hands with magura.
Their warranty system is good in my experience.. as long as you do things by the book (don’t tamper with the speed limits etc).
Iirc they keep stock and spares for 8 years after a product has been discontinued, which is longer than manufacturers are obliged to.
All in all I think their support is good. Haven’t dealt with them as a member of the public though
