joking aside, does anyone make a light that can be attached to the downtube to create a pool of light around a bike?

I've got a spare bit of an LED strip which I've been tempted to wire into the dynamo on one of my bikes to see if it works. I'm no good with electrics though, so the fear of damaging something has put me off thus far. The 2 Fast 2 Furious look is almost tempting enough to overcome that though.
