OK - I've only just finished refurbishing / building this - it was a really fun project and rides pretty well - but I've just bought another bike (unexpected purchase) and need the space so sadly this has to go...
[Would like to embed photos but this no longer works for some reason (I'm posting from a macbook - answers on a postcard!)...]
Details:
Reynolds 531 frame 56cm - metallic sparkly purple
Tange headset (new)
BLB Bronson bars (new)
Ritchey Logic brake levers (lovely)
Sunrace RH shifter (new)
3T grips
Wald basket (new - 2 x bungees included)
Tiagra 4400 chainset (very little use)
105 5700 rear mech (new)
SRAM chain (nearly new)
Campag Mirage calipers (new)
Turbo saddle nubuck brown (nearly new)
seatpost is an ebay special (26.8)
stem is basic but aesthetically pleasing
Wellgo pedals (new)
Wheels - 8 speed, decent condition, but mismatched (front is a CFX)
Michelin dynamic classic 25s (both new)
jagwire cables (ti braded outers)
Mudguards (chromoplastic rear, raceblade long front as minimal clearance)
Bottle cage and bell included...
Background - I found a 531 frame on e bay, had paint fully stripped by Mario Vaz, and did a very careful rattle can paint job (primer, purple, laquer) - I found a "531 renovated" decal which has gone on under the lacquer. It has been treated with frame saver inside. In the sun it really looks smart.
Pics aren't the best - was in a bit of a rush and sun was going down (the specks on the wheel are a bit of dirt not rust!) I'll edit with some better pics when the sun next comes out.
Will be sold with a LHS sunrace shifter (new), and the other chainring (and bolts) for the chainset in case anyone wants to convert it back to 2x. I have a (used) Sora front mech I can throw in too.
The bad - a very small ding on the top tube and a slight scratch to the paint on top tube (see pics).
Really finding it hard to price this one tbh - clearly won't be worth anywhere near as much as it cost to build and I don't have the time / heart to split - so I'll say £sold and see what the interest is...
