The industry trying to sell us a bike for every slight variation in riding. The industry will probably hit a wall in a few years in terms of the extremes of geometry and then the new thing will be LLS XC bikes, and shorter offset/adjustable forks.
The bike industry is always trying to sell you new stuff, much like any other consumerist enterprise.
There's many fads that were fads for their own sake. But LLS isn't. I just think that modern bike geometry is better than ever and LLS really works.
There are already LLS XC bieks as well.
