The battery charging on my Moto G7 is fucked. Basically I can only charge it after a battery reset or when it's off. It's still in warranty and Motorola have said;
We, as the manufacturer do not replace the unit, the warranty is only for repair. If you wish to have a replacement you will need to contact the place of purchase and request the replacement from them according to their own policies.
I bought the phone through eGlobal Central. Their warranty page sounds very much like Motorola's in that they repair the fault.
It also says;
Specific exclusions
Consumable products such as batteries (including camera batteries, RC toys batteries, mobile phones batteries, etc), films are not covered by the warranty.
What are my rights here?
It's a bit annoying as the phones only a few months old.
Also has anyone had any luck sending stuff back to eGlobal? If my only option is sending something to be repaired then Motorola feels like a safer bet.
