I'm not saying don't upgrade your phone, just don't wait for 5g because it'll never be a proper thing like 4g. First I'd look at clearing unused apps from your phone, especially things like Facebook Messenger (now called Lite) because it's shown to use battery even when not in use. Also depending on the age you could get the battery in your phone replaced.

There's no apps I can see that are obviously draining the battery and I've shifted a fair few of the ones I rarely use to a deactivated work profile using Island.
It's annoying as the phone works perfectly fine apart from the poor battery. I will probably try fitting a new battery although there is a distinct shortage of places selling batteries for Oneplus 3Ts so I'll have to track one down that seems reputable.

Cheers, I've just looked at the coverage maps and realised how patchy it is even in Central London.
It's bloody annoying though. This phone is perfectly fine apart from the poor battery life. I'm tempted to try wiping it and starting afresh to see whether that makes it any better.
