To fit over 47mm tyres you're going to need some big guards - they'll likely need some dremelling and filing to fit into the frame nicely I'd guess.
700c 45mm guards fit okay, you'll need wider.

Will kick that problem down the road for now, as I think the front brake may become an issue as it is ancient and has far too much cable which Evans said they can't trim. Will see if other shops can. Stripped it and took it to the shop for its new headset.
