I just found out that one of my semi-regular riding buddies has been killed by a truck in Port Adelaide. I was told to not watch the news as it's pretty confronting.
I didn't know him outside of cycling, but he was 59 years old and a very strong rider.
The first time I rode with him and his group of regulars was a baptism of fire, and he pulled at the front relentlessly.
