I've definitely noticed that sight hounds tend to greet each other very gently with a sort of nose fencing ritual. It's nice to see.

Yup, very noticeable that they greet other sighthounds in a different way. All ours have done this. Think they are just breedist...

Also, top tip to any future greyhound owners. Get pet insurance. They do break/injure themselves fairly regularly....

Can't agree more. Ours has been in and out of the vet with a foot injury that was eventually diagnosed as a corn under her pad. Would have broken us if we had to shell out for it ourselves.
