  • Turnips. Got quite a few in a veg box and haven't had them since I was a kid other than neon pink pickled slices in a wrap sometimes. Any good recipes that aren't soup (don't have anything against soup but I always end up doing that with leftover root veg)? Vegan if possible so my wife can eat it too. Do they roast well?

  • Roast turnips are delicious! Cut in half or quarters depending on how fat they are. Don't want really skinny pieces else they'll burn.

Put in a roasting tray and baste with agave and olive oil, season, throw in some fresh thyme. Roast for 30-40 mins on a medium heat, delicious.

(Even better with other veg in the mix too, e.g. parsnips, carrots, celery, onion)
