cx rays
Aero spokes are a waste of money if you're making every other part of the wheel non-aero for aesthetic reasons. Just use DT Comp/Sapim Race and you'll immediately have about £100 extra towards your hubs.

I have had cx rays on a pair of 240 hubs laced to 28h open pros in the past. They cost me an arm and a leg granted, but they are to this day the most comfortable, lightest wheelset I’ve owned! I want to build something along that wavelength. (I also partly want to make the most of a friend who has access to trade prices on Sapim)
Edit : Hope rs4 seems to fit the bill! Anyone have any experience with them?

I’m wanting to build a new set of wheels for my summer bike. Wanting an old school Ambrosio Nemesis look - I’m thinking TB14’s with cx rays (silver). But I don’t know what hubs to go for.. Im wanting silver aswell. They’ve got to be Campy friendly. In a dream world it would be Chris Kings but has anyone got any other recommendations? I’ve seen a pair of Record ti hubs on eBay from the early 2000s but is there any modern options? I’m keen to hear if there is a similar box section style rim aswell that people would recommend (tb14 seems a bit obvious). Thanks!
