• Here is something quite rare, in fact I've never seen another one! It's a standard road frame made by Trevor Jarvis of Flying Gate fame, in Reynolds 531c.

I spoke to Trevor, who was extremely friendly and helpful, when I purchased the frame. He confirmed he made it in 1990. (frame number 90 409). It has many lovely touches including cut-out lugs, fastback seat stays and unusual rear Gipieme dropouts which have no cut-out. These features, along with the fact it had no bottle cage bosses made me wonder if it was built for time trials but I never managed to find out.

The frame was in a poor state when I got it about 5 years ago. It served me well as a commuter for a couple of years until I finally decided to get it repainted. I opted for a more durable powdercoat as I had intended to continue using it for commuting but when I rebuilt it I decided it was much too nice to be locked up outside and it has sat unused for the last 2 years. Orignal build thread here: https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/258309/

Before painting I had Argos add some downtube bottle cage bosses. It was then coated in a metallic silver flake base with a high gloss laquer - the photos dont do it justice it really sparkes in the sun! Lugs are still clearly defined. I sourced new decals from Trevor , which are an updated style to the orginal but I think look really great - as you can see on the head and seat tube. I wasn't too keen on the new font used for the downtube so had custom ones made by Argos' decal supplier to match the original font and gold colour of the new decals, but will include the ones from Trevor as well (all decals are on top of the laquer).

There are a couple of marks from building it up (see photos in link) and a very small chip to the top laquer on the the RH seat stay but it hasnt marked the base layer and it not very noticable. The right hand gear boss also has a tiny chip but doesnt affect it's use in any way.

    Details are below:

    Size 55cm square ctc
Rear spacing 126mm , though measuring as 125mm due to powdercoat I think. I did manage to squeeze a 130 hub in there but would recommend cold setting.

I'd like £170 , collection from Bristol or can post at cost

Let me know if you need any more info.
    Cheers
