These are called something specific. Path Racers or something? I had one for years made by Genesis - it was awesome.

I really should swap my Pista pub bike for one of these - one that's big enough to clear my midfoot toe overlap.

Seems like a few more brands are making "track" frames with bigger tyre clearance, mudguard mounts etc, although they haven't actually mentioned what the clearance is. Brother allday another one. Rarely anything better than 4130 though
