I've read that its advisable to size down on BMC frames - can any owners share views?

Can't imagine that you could say you need to size down on an entire brand of bike. Just look at the geometry chart for the model you're considering.

I had a BMC one size too small once and it was much too small

It's a sweeping statement but I've read it quite a few times. I'm in between sizes too

How tall are you and what size was your small BMC ?
