Very close friends had a daughter 2 weeks ago, who needed at least 2 transfusions after an awful labor over 2 days. I’ve not met many babies, but she had me welling up when I met her last week. So, nice one. It spurred me to register and set up an appointment after not giving blood in probably 10 years.

I got declined last time I went as I was 2 days short of 3 months since being in South Africa. Gutted.
I did find out my blood goes to help new borns though.
