Yours isn't much of an argument either, such an impaired comparison would generate a similar reaction in most parts of the world, including developed countries.
I am not sneering at people concerned about safety, especially others', like argumented by Emily. But I cannot tolerate a negative outlook onto humanity, that extrapolates bits of information regarding episodes to final sentaces on entire regions or countries.
People are good by nature.
