I don't really get this inverted snobbery of 'don't go to poor countries but instead waste away your life in an office instead, you shit'. Seems weird. It's not like you're planning on going to Africa flaunting your wealth and rubbing people's noses in it (unless you're actually an utter prick), you're just a person who's lucky enough to have the opportunity to do something like this. You've only got one life and you can be sure that the vast majority of people you meet on this trip won't give a shit that you're travelling through their country and have more money than them. why would they? They're just getting on with their life just as you are.
