You will end up with a 4 meter flaccid plant thing in the corner of your living room that you'll by then have gotten too emotionally attached to to throw it away - reminding you every day what a shit decision it was to "have some fun" with kitchen leftover - but then it'll be too late. When you'll move house that'll be the last chance to rid the fucking thing, yet you might not have the will power do push through.

I too have some 'kitchen leftover ' Ginger and Turmeric but they weren't leftovers - bought for growing and doing well but you are right , they have got too big now and can't go outside so a pain to find somewhere for them indoors.

Hmm.. not sure how they'd take it if you were to just cut the top half off, but I guess that's what I would do..
