I think doing it with £30 is enough as you can micro trade. I guess learning how to trade, it doesn't make a difference between £30 and £30million, just some extra 0's.
Obviously the difference when you cash out and buy a kebab instead of a yacht...
I can happily afford to loose £30 and it make 0 difference to my life, so I think I'll go for it and see how I feel and if I understand it.
I'd like to think I've got the right mental makeup for doing this kind of thing as I've always dabbled in starting my own businesses, buying to sell etc so I understand the mentality of (atleast trying) to think logically.
