All of the stock silver parts go into stock, the headset cannot due to marking. So you would not have the cost of the silver part taken off the black part.
For example, you want black mudguards, cranks, mudguards, straight swap as no price difference. £10 to pay extra as that’s the price difference on the cranks!
For a small number of parts no labour cost, on a build like the one I posted, full black edition and extremities swap, labour of £50, hinge kit at £20 and then just the part difference cost. Went from about £1070 to £1260 or so. - that’s with a super light wheel so extra £35 than if just stock silver for stock black

You buy a Brompton purple, then we build the bike with. Black edition parts and take the silver stuff into stock. The only thing that can’t is the headset as it’s marked from removable. Also welcome to make any changes you wish for, so that last build had a jtek super light front wheel for £45 instead of £90 as the silver wheel at £45 went back to stock.
