I'm probably coming to the wrong place for 'subjective advice' but here goes nothing... (also this is a ramble so apologies in advance)
I recently got a promotion at work. Its something I've worked hard for and it's the first promotion I've ever had. As a result, part of me thinks I should mark the occasion and reward myself with something that I can keep long term. As a lot of people do, I'm thinking a watch would be good. However, I recently realised I've got too many watches (7 at present) and said I wouldn't buy/didn't need another.
Has anyone else been through the rational ('don't need') vs emotional ('reward/celebrate') debate? If I don't get something will I regret it?
Seems like you're unlikely to regret buying something to mark the event, so what's holding you back? In real terms you don't need six out of your seven watches.
Do you wear all your current watches? Is there anything you've been lusting after for a while?
