No obviously not, but that is the extreme end of the scale.
Don't get me wrong as we all know I am MR OMEGA through and through but I can appreciate Rolex for what it is not what it is sometimes mistakenly perceived to be.
I think they represent extremely good value in comparison to a lot of other watch brands at the same price point , nothing holds its value like a professional steel Rolex ( for whatever reason) .
Do I want to own one ? No.
Do I want to be without them on the company ? No.

It really does come down to what each individual considers to be the appropriate balance of preferred style and value for money.
I'm not convinced that Rolex offer good value for money compared to other brands at the same price point, but then again I still buy Rolex. I think IWC and Zenith make similarly good quality watches for the same amount or less for example. And Omega for that matter.

Well, a Rolex costing £5k to £50k is cheap as chips compared to a Richard Mille (spits) for £50k to £250k. Or cheap compared to an entry level AP, or PP
Rolex is also cheap compared to any of the genuinely exclusive brands where each item is hand made and the scarcity is real and not a corporate strategy.
I know a guy who hand makes watches to order in the Czech Republic. He has a three year wait for watches right now, because each one takes him a year to make from scratch. Rolex is not in the same bracket as that.
