As I hinted at up thread, but perhaps didn't elaborate on enough...in the world of luxury horology, Rolex is cheap as chips so its silly to label one model as entry level compared to another of similar price and scarcity.
It should be about buying what you like. Not what other people like.
Your post reminds me of that Entourage episode where the main dude's secretary is sent out to grab a steel Rolex before meeting a less successful counterparty.
