Just buy the correct RAM. It isn't difficult. A website like Crucial's will allow you to specify what your machine manufacturer and model is and take the guesswork out. Or there are web pages specifically about memory on the Microservers. As someone has already pointed out, you may not be able to mix different types.

Jokes aside, do I accept the measly 2g RAM? Or is there a way around it? Should I bin it and buy a working NAS?
