Help to choose parts please - so the Middleburn crank I want is finally back in stock (ish), I need help to choose what spider I need because the guy from BETD asked me what chainline I am running and I asked my frame builder and he says we have decided to go with road bike chainline, that doesn't help me at all if I haven't the slightest idea how to work out what chainline is what... Can you help me please?
Don't worry if it says something is out of stock, they have just finished some production and they are putting together a speical order for me.
And the frame builder has recommended a 42T ring to go with.
And it's a touring bike running Shimano XTR M8000 1 X 11 system, but I can't use the XTR crank because it only allows up to 32T... hence the middleburn crank instead.
Thanks a million
And for those of you who have good memory, after months fo waiting, I am finally at the front of the queue with my dream bike! YAY!!!
Help to choose parts please
The crank I am getting is this in 165mm.
Since I'm being helpful, I should point out at this stage that the Shimano FC-R3000 is also available in 165mm. There, I've helped you to choose a better crank, and saved you £100 too 😀
Thanks but I have my mind set on the Middleburn a long time ago and to be honest, I committed to the purchase before their production began in a sense that they are only making 1 crankset in silver for me and the rest of the RO2 in 165mm will only be in black...
