Finished the wheels. Picked up a new XT 11-34 cassette £18 on the way home today. So the new wheelset including everything ends up a full kg lighter than the stock setup.
Got paint. It will not be black.
Think I'll use an Aliante R5 from the bin along with a Thomson post.
