Guys, many thanks for your advice, Albania indeed was one of the best rides with the highest occurrence of touring cyclists - especially around the south.
That Vlore - Himara day through the llogaras pass was brutal - probably the toughest day out of the whole 5 weeks.
And for the record I am very glad I followed your advice and avoided the Tirana - Vlore part. A couple of cyclist I spotted on the way looked really unhappy and pushed to the edge of a very busy road.
