Anyone know how to replace the bearings on a Phil Wood rear road hub. Its an older model - 126m screwed thread for old type freewheel. It does not have the end caps held on by allan key fitings and the bearings are 2 differant sizes ..
What do Phil Wood say?
The bearings should be pretty easy to replace once you figure out how to get them out. Cartridge bearings have a code / number (R8, for instance) on the shield you can search for this to ensure you’re getting the exact same replacement. These codes are same for different manufacturers. SKF bearings are worth getting.
