  • I use it for Github too... but maybe that's not for you.

Additionally I have a spare one which I have for backup in case I smash the first one. On that there are 2 slots, and I have put the static long and complex password for my LastPass. Effectively I've made my backup YubiKey be a 1FA :) And the point of this is death... I want my wife to be able to open my LastPass, gain access to things... in the event of my death. i.e. she will be able to tell Hippy or someone all the passwords to this. This does mean that this spare key has to be kept very secure... but I can't think of how to allow a partner to access a digital life otherwise.

  • Not a coder so don't need it.

I was getting unknown attempts at someone logging in to my Google account so thought I'd add another layer of security that doesn't need my phone.

Would have thought the UK banks would have been all over a system like this but it seems not. Bit annoyed that PayPal doesn't support it.

Still waiting for them to use a system that lets me use Authy.

Yeah, that's one of the surprising ones.

They have their own token you can get, and I've attached my phone number too... but both of these are bad ideas compared to a Yubikey.
